Crila capsule – a medicine from Crinum latifolium L. for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and uterine fibroids produced by Thien Duoc Co., Ltd. has been officially exported to American market. Thien Duoc has worked with representative partner in the field of media for Crila in America. The Science and Life Newspaper had a short conversation with insiders.

Reporter: How do you do, Mrs. C. Sue McKinney? How did you feel about Crila of Thien Duoc Co., Ltd.?

Mrs. C.Sue Mc Kinney - Director of Crila Health Co. Ltd. - Crila exclusive distributor for America: As I know, Crila is manufactured from a very special herb with long history in Vietnam which has been researched and developed by Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram. Currently, Crila is known as a therapeutic medicine for BPH in men and uterine fibroids in women. This medicine was proven through clinical research and real treatment for the past time.

I have also verified this on the American GACP about health problems as mentioned above. They are my friends and my family including doctors and researchers. We found a very good treatment efficacy of Crila. This motivated me to bravely collaborate with Dr. Tram to develop Crila’s exportation to American market.

Reporter: Why is Crila important to American market and how beneficial was it to the American now?

Mrs. C.Sue Mc Kinney: I reckon that Crila is an important product and indispensable to American market and the American. Recently, the number of American consumers looking for their health solutions from herbal products is increasing. In America, annual statistics showed that about 20 million men search for herbal medicines to treat prostatic problems, and about 12 million women do that to treat and support treatment in their menopausal period. We firmly believe that Crila has treatment efficacy on all women and the proof is that the number of customers reordering go beyond all our expectations.

It’s also because the research work is so amazing. When establishing the company for Crila export, we decided to name our company Crila Health Ltd.

Reporter: Except for America, which markets do you intend to bring Crila to in the future?

Mrs. C.Sue Mc Kinney: As our future expectations, we are going to supply Crila worldwide. Currently, we are focusing on American market - an extremely difficult market - applying Domino Effect, thence expanding further and creating a linear sequence. First, we start from this choosy market, and then patients in other countries themselves will learn about Crila by themselves and buy it after realizing its value and uses.

Reporter: How do you do, Mrs. Deborah Lauricella? Could you tell us your Crila promotion schedule in American market?

Mrs. Deborah Lauricella – Chairman cum Creative President of Lauricella Tormé corporation - media partner for Crila in America: our marketing and advertising plans for Crila in America is the same as Dr. Tram’s in Vietnam. First, we help people be aware of Crila because American consumers have not known Crila yet long since. So, our task is to convey information about Crila in an effective way. One of our ways is to indicate results of treatment efficacy and benefits of Crila to American consumers through clinical trials. Currently, we are conducting this work. Our doctors and researchers are interested in approaching to the very positive clinical study results of Crila in Vietnam to implement further research conducted in America.

We have been representative of Crila in many conferences and scientific seminars sponsored by American organizations such as FDA, the American National Institute of Health and trade fairs. I have just returned from ExpoWest, in which I promoted the image of Crila for the second time. This year, ExpoWest has about 58 thousand participants. Many people around the world come here to look for latest natural products. In addition, we have also built warehouse systems and secondary distributors to provide Crila for food commercial establishments and pharmacies. We are discussing with series of big entrepreneurs while directly distributing to patients via e-commerce. We have coordinated with Dr. Tram to release two books of Crila in America. Furthermore, we assume full responsibility for promoting Crila through radio channels, television interviews and providing accurate information to other mass communications to publish information and clinical study results of Crila.

From positive results provided by us, and practical administration of patients, it is bound to help Crila to appeal more people. We ourselves found the treatment efficacy of Crila thanks to the fact that many patients continued using it.

Reporter: Pharmacist - Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram, what is your evaluation as the work you have painstakingly researched and developed opens a way entering this demanding market?

Pharmacist - Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram: This is a big turning point for my colleagues and me. Vietnamese Crinum latifolium L. has been studied by me and my colleagues in Vietnam and foreign countries since 1990. After patients in some countries such as America, France, Canada, and Bulgaria ... used Crila with good results, they speak in recommendation of Crila to others. We have received many letters of thanks from patients. In particular, some doctors of Research Institute of Prostatic cancer in America plan to conduct clinical trials of Crila.

Crila are manufactured from Vietnamese “Royal Virgin” plant (Its scientific name is Crinum latifolium L.) with bioactive substances inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, stimulating T–lymphocyte’s development and activities. The active substances are extracted under strict process which was researched and recognized by the Council of Science and Technology at national level.

Raw materials for the production of Crila, Crilin, and Crinum latifolium L. tea bag of Thien Duoc Company is clean Crinum latifolium L., which has been identified DNA, domesticated under GACP-WHO criterion on a stable plantation and researched to identify its harvest season and age. The plant is collected by hands and then washed thoroughly (6 times) before dried. We use clean water source as standard as running water. In terms of plant care, we do not use chemical fertilizers but natural decomposed cow manure and kill insects with pheromone biological enticement.

Care and harvest procedures under strict compliance to ensure product requirements are important factors to make products with optimum quality. Thanks to that, Crila capsule is used by many foreigners. The effect of Crila has been proven, contributing to asserting the value of Vietnamese herbs on the world market.
