Quang Linh recently had a visit to the plantation of Crila - a precious Vietnamese herb that helps prevent and support the treatment of uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and prostate enlargement.
Sharing about the reason for visiting the plantation, the Youtuber said, "I have learned about Crilaby chance through the series Following the Scientists by journalist Quang Minh. Feeling very curious about this medicinal plant, I have activelyseeked out and fortunately I was able to visit the plantation to experience and learn more about this herb."
Regarding its origin, Crila is the result of more than 30 years of research by Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram. From 7 broad-leaved plants called Crinum Latifolium, Dr. Tramhas discovered, researched and domesticated a plant belonging to the genus Crinum, later given the scientific name Crinum latifolium L. var. crilae Tram & Khanh.
Here, the Quang Linh Vlogs group observed and directly participated in the stages of Crila growing process such as: hoeing the soil, sowing seeds and harvesting plants.
Observing the farmers taking care of Crila plant, Linh commented: "Here they do not use chemical fertilizers, pesticides or other growth stimulants to preserve the natural organic active ingredients of the herbal plant”.
During this trip, Quang Linh also had the opportunity to talk with farmers in the plantation to understand their feelings and attachment to this place. When it comes to the plantation, they cannot hide their pride and appreciation.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Manh, the person in charge of managing the plantation, confided: "I have followed Dr. Tram since graduating from university for 24 years. Besides me, there are also many people who have been with us for over 20 years. When we first arrived, this area was a wasteland full of wild grass. Gradually, we have improved it into what it is now."
The story about Crila
The most special thing about the trip, Quang Linh Vlogs directly met and talked with Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram - the "birth mother" of Crila.
Dr. Tram was the one who recognized the differences in the groups of active ingredients in Crinum latifolium plants. Gradually, she has proved that Crila is a "new variety", with higher active substances and does not contain toxicity like other Crinum latifolium plants. Therefore, Dr. Tram was granted a Plant Variety Protection Certificate by the Department of Crop Production.
Once she had the perfect plant variety, she continued to research and develop Crila into medicinal products and health supplements. 2004 marked the first Crila products officially appearing on pharmacy shelves nationwide.
Dr. Tram shared: "I have developed the technology and extraction process to get the essential active substances. Currently, the extracted alkaloid content in the products has been doubled”.

The 50ha plantationwith GACP - WHO certified in Binh Thuan and Dong Nai was planned and developed after thorough research on climate conditions, soil, and the most suitable process for the development of Crila plant.
After Dr. Tram shared about the research process, Quang Linh Vlogs expressed: "It's been so long! Her whole life has been devoted to this plant."
Quang Linh said that many African women also suffer from ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids.
