According to Youth Newspaper, on December 25th morning, at National Vietnam Women's Union, Nguyen Thi Binh - former Vice President, Chairman of the Vietnam Kovalevskaya Awards Committee awarded to Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram (Figure) from National phytopharma joint-stock company. This prestigious prize is awarded annually to female individuals and groups who have recorded outstanding achievements in scientific research.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram has had a large number of important research works in pharmaceutical field, especially the successful research work on Crila capsule which can treat uterine fibroids and BPH after ten years of research. Crila is extracted from Crinum latifolium L. – a wild herb that has been genetically studied to be domesticated and planted to create sustainable material sources for drug. Besides, in this occasion, award for group has presented to a group of female scientists – members of the General Physics, Department of Physics, (University of Science – Vietnam National University).
