The success of research on Crinum latifolium L. starts from a story

‘A female patient in Mekong Delta suffering from uterine fibroids hadn’t got pregnant although she got married long since. Wishing to have grandchildren, her husband family forced them to separate. Now, everything is OK. She recovered from her disease and also gave birth to a boy. Calling to say thank to me, she couldn’t keep back her tears ‘I don’t have opportunity to visit and thank you face to face, but I and my boy are grateful to you all our lives’.

This is the very motivation which encourages Dr. Tram and her co-workers to overcome all challenges in the last 15 years, turning a medicinal plant known through words of mouth in folk to a new medicine from Vietnamese herbs for tumor diseases.

To reciprocate such this trust is to create the reputation on both domestic and foreign market based on products with high quality, safety and treatment efficacy on patients. Thien Duoc company has recently been presented ‘Vietnam Excellent Medicine 2014’ by Drug Administration – the Ministry of Health for good products and enterprises. This is recognition and evaluation of real value of products on the market as well as in science.

We could say that Vietnam has numerous valuable medicinal materials.
